no more pagerank updates?

i haven't seen a PR update for many weeks now-
even though i clearly see that some pages with high visible (via toolbar) PR behave like PR0, and no-PR pages (white bar on toolbar) definitely behave like high-PR pages (visitor land on these pages).

to me, it looks like Google updated ranking of pages, but have not made this update public to any of the DC's where you can query via toolbar update or so.

has anyone else seen that?
maybe G is 'cutting us off' from seeing PR... could be in reaction to those who buy links from high PR pages.
