www.3 and www.2 redirected?

Can't reach them anymore

Hello i am a new here for posting.
I learn a lot by reading.
I can not reach www3.google.com anymore.
When i type it in the adressbar it's redirected to google.nl (the country i am living)
Till he day before yesterday it worked perfect.
Somebody can explain this.

Both of them show a 302 redirect to www for me from Arizona.

Are there any other datacenters that aren’t redirecting? All the fresh dates are gone in the area I watch which seems to coincide with an update. Yikes :-0

Just a comment. If Google is going to do an update, they would want www2 and www3 to point to *other* than www.google.com so they show different results. Thus, update watchers should be looking for when www2 and www3 *stop* redirecting.

What's more likely is that this was specifically done to people so that they can't see the update.

Either the datacenters as we know them are no more, or the are just doing this redirect to people from outside of Google so that only they can see the results without a redirect.

While we are all just throwing out any possiblity we can think of, perhaps they are just routing around the path of the hurricane. Never Know, I personally am High & Dry & gonna stay that way, but my site hosting is done out of florida, so, I have already done my backups, perhaps it is G Bracing for impact also.

HTTP/1.0 200 OK

I noticed that too, and I also noticed the SERP has been freezen since Wednesday. It is very unusal. After IPO now google guys take big actions ...

I too thought that the fact that all datacenters showed the exact same results for the past few days could be a sign of a big upcoming update. However, today there are changes on some of the datacenters. These are minor changes for the keywords I watch.

I tried to report this as a new topic yesterday, not sure why the mods didn't like it...

I noticed a second big jump for my website yesterday in the google directory. In the past the PR there was aligned with the toolbar.

I am now showing a PR2 on the toolbar and a PR4 or 5 in the directory. Not sure if this is unique to my website (it is only about 3 months old).

you can still ping both www2 and www3...but they are both showing the same IP number now 216.239.57.104
I seem to remember that the IP numbers were different before this latest "hide the datacenters" development...
the used to be 216.239.57.103 and 216.239.57.104, respectively..

I noticed a jump in traffic today which was surprising. I checked out my rankings. It seems some of the results I am looking at now are from several weeks ago + no fresh tags + holiday weekend + www2 thing + very long time since last upheaval. You get the idea.

Yes, something has been going on this weekend. Most of our sites lost traffic, but one that got hit by the changes of 25th/26th has come back and doubled its traffic. So have they just backdated their index?
