But just what does the ALLINTITLE command show? I just ran it for my primary search phrase, and it showed my site at the top, although I'm ranked #21 right now. When I ran ALLINTITLE for my site, it seemed to show backlinks.
What is it good for?
TIA

It seemed to me the some kind of dampening factor is applied when the search is for a competitive kw combination. I.e. the infamous sandbox.
The allin commands avoid this dampening effect, because they are, by their very nature, not competitive.
So I've concluded that for a competitive search a site needs credibility for that search, rather than loads of links > 2,3 or 4 months old. How you get this credibility is another matter.
So the allin commands don't predict the future. They just show the results for a non-competitive search.
Of course this is probably complete nonsense.
The command will show all sites with that keyword in the title. At the end of the day, that shows who your competitors are. Lots of people love to say they are number X "of about" 4,000,000 but that’s not a good indicator.
Generally speaking, if you have the key word in your title, your optimizing for that term.

This makes complete sense. When you try those allin searches, look how many results are returned. Not very many at all are there?

Not at all. I for one am with you on this.
If you want more information there is a page on all of this at google.
