Adding new pages and losing PR due to sandbox effect

I'd like to hear from anyone who has added a new number of pages to your site. We know the PR will be zero for some time. The question is, is any PR lost via the links going from the homepage to these newly published pages?

The pages are cached by Google and google has followed the links to the new pages. But, did googlebot follow the links within the new pages?

How has Googlebot spidered your new pages?
