Google and dynamic links

Google isn't following the dynamic links on my site - any thoughts

My site is set up as a shopping cart with lots of dynamic links.

Google is only indexing the static links, but from my reading on these pages, it should be picking up the dynamic content too -- the links are reasonable length. Examples of what is NOT indexed include:

www.example.com/cart.php?m=join
which is a link from www.example.com
which IS indexed.

I haven't adjusted the robots.txt file or the googlebot meta tag, but I shouldn't have to to get the pages indexed.

I know they're not in google b/c I've done inurl searches.

Any help would be really appreciated!
