I must admit I am new to the world of DIY SEO! But my site is doing great in all the other search engines like Yahoo, MSN and has hit the first page in Google.

However, my question and forgive me if this is a stupid one because I am still learning is why has Yahoo for example indexed single pages of my site which show up say three times for my keyword and Google only shows my site entry?

Any ideas would be appreciated. And if this is stupid question my sincere apologies!

Thank you.

Hello webber1223

no it's not a stupid question, and I've no idea why no-one's come to your aid with an answer.

In broad terms, the speed at which Google comes visiting your site is determined by how easy it is to find. If only one site links to it, your site will be visited rarely. If a million sites (I wish!) linked to it, Google would almost certainly travel down one of the links to your site much more quickly, and, by virtue of the larger number of ways to reach your site, would call by more often as well.

And that's the reason your inner pages are yet to be visited - these are even less visible from the outside world.
It can take a long time to get indexed, and the general advice in the meantime is two-fold.
One is to add more content so that your users have a more rewarding visit (and of course, may then be willing to give you a link).
The other is to ask for more links.

Good luck!
