1) How number of indexed in Google pages affects your overall traffic? Is there a limit after which it doesn't really help your site to rank better?

2) What is the largest site indexed by Google?
Anyone knows? What did you find?

Example: Cnn.com = about 260,000 Pages
Example: Webmasterworld = about 104,000 indexed pages?

The more pages.... the more content.... that will pick up more searches.... hence more traffic. Be careful about pr flow, make sure your pages targetting competitive searches has good pr, the more obscure search terms you target should be on pages deeper on your site, as these will need less pr.

Internal links back using a search phrase you are targeting may help, but doubtful. More on theme content increasing your range of relevant keywords you will rank for is good.

Ranking high for a few keywords is not as good as ranking quite well for many :)

amazon has 3.24 million pages.

i have a pr 6 site with >100,000 pages listed, which is roughly the number i have in my site total (i.e. google efficiently captures virtually all pages). it's not clear to me how many pages i would have if i only had pr 5 but my guess is not as many.
