Should Google have a 'lose by date'?

Newsgroups can provide useful information in a short time span. But they are also full of trolls, tripe, nonsense, flames and meaningless posts.

It is mainly transitory information.

But I can find comments written by myself dating back as far as Feb 2002 on Google - about a minor sporting event that happened in Jan 2002 and is now of no interest whatsoever.

Is it a policy by Google to dish up all our thoughts and comments indefinitely?
