Plurals of Keywords

Hi there,

Im new to all this so please excuse my newbie questions :)

If I optimised my site selling widgets for the keyword 'widget supplier' but someone searched 'widgets supplier' or 'widget suppliers' would i still get the same rank?

Also if i optimised as t-shirt site for 't-shirts' and they searched 't shirts', again would i get the same rank?

Algos change. Awhile ago it didn't matter whether you did the plurals or not. The whole stemming thing.

Just this morning I was analyzing my position in the SERPS and although not being a plural I did notice that when searching for "keyword widgeting" the snippet on G's page bolded the words "keyword widget". The terms widget and widgeting both appear on the same page.

Back at the time of that older thead linked to, Google wasn't using stemming. They are now, which can make a difference. Give the most valuable of the choices on the page the most prominence.
