I know google can spider flash pages. I am using small flash movies as links to pages with lots of movies on the same page. Will google spider them. I read somewhere that google can spider flash if you use absolute links, but that presents a problem in terms of development and testing for me.

I am using xhtml and offer the possibility of displaying a image in case the browser can not display flash. I presume I can put a href link around the image which would be spidered by google.

If that is the case, then can I use a relative link in the flash movie?

Or should I create a text link as well. I am trying to balance SEO and presentation.

Which is the best way to go.

IMHO Google will increase their ability to spider all links including flash/java script etc in the future. If you write the site with this in mind as well as including the html links you can't go too far wrong (unless of course you are trying to hide the links ;) )

So can I use relative links now, and google will spider them with no trouble, or should I use absolute links to be sure that google will spider them with no problems?

Cheers
