Backlinks have all gone missing as have related sites - Google states none can be found. I had 18 backlinks previously.
I have had backlinks disappear before and magically return a few weeks later, but never at the same time as a PR0. In fact, the site has never been a PR0.
The only problem I can think of (which has never been a problem before) is duplicate content. I own the .co.uk and .com of the same domain name - ownership details have the same owner, the IP the resolve to is the same IP. In the past, Google has merged the two domains together. All the backlinks reported for either domain could have been pointing to the other: so a search for link:www.domain.com would bring up the links to www.domain.co.uk. So if they are suddenly penalising this behaviour, then it is new.
Many of the pages (Perl) from the cgi-bin are also only coming into the results as 'Supplement Result'.
Any other ideas, or is this a possible Google glitch with the new update?

My competition has nothing but text copied from the product source word for word and they are beating me in every keyword possible with this update. If you do a search for any single sentence on their page, there would be tonnes of it all over the net.
So I guess google's threshold for duplicate content is rather high or duplicate content penalty is just a myth and link text spamming is preferred since these two are the method they engaged in which previously don't used to be so successful.
The famous 'miserable failure' page now requires only a single keyword 'failure' or 'miserable'.
Any idea?
Thanks for your suggestion, but i always use to search in the provided manner and found "Tons of them without titles and description"
Even branded sites are also a part of this.
Thanks

I too have faced a similar problem like you with PR 0 suddenly but the only difference is that the Backlinks are intact. Just wondering whats going on.?
I know he had undergone Doorway pages earlier and It own the .co.uk and .com of the same domain name - ownership details have the same owner, the IP the resolve to is the same IP. But its not actually a duplicate content case, I am only pointing to the other pages.
Any help would be appreciated.
Cheers,
