No Site Title or Description in Results

when I type in site:domain.com I get results that look like this:

www.domain.com/directory/page1.html
similar pages

www.domain.com/directory/page2.html
similar pages

www.domain.com/directory/page3.html
similar pages

Site titles are all present on the pages, there is active content that should show up as a description.

Any ideas as to why this may be?
