Did you notice he prides himself on being an Alexa "Top 100 Site"?
This person's site is not a blog, but of the 12 bloggers I've found who are employed at Google, only one is in the top 100,000 at Alexa, and he's at 98,000. This includes the big-name bloggers who were hired when Google acquired blogger.com. They all have a PageRank of between 5 and 7, but it doesn't translate into traffic.
For all their arrogance, there's no "there" there at Google. It's only the mass media that hasn't figured this out yet. I really believe that Google has no idea what they're doing. I predict a massive cash-out and exodus as soon as top Google employees can unload their options. This exodus may affect morale at Google, but I don't think it will affect quality. The quality is already about as low as it can get.
