does nofollow prevent pr drain?

Ive create forum software that utilizes url rewriting so should get spidered easily. If i allow my users to post links will that then drain PR from my site too all the links? Are there any good approaches to generating links that a spider will not follow? i hear they read Javascript now or soon will do so that wont work. Dont fancy using anything server side as its not user freindly to post to the server just to open a link.

Would simply adding the robot meta tag nofollow prevent any PR drain?

No such think as PR drain.

Perhaps not PR drain. But if you link to 10 other pages on one page with standard a href links, and 5 more using javascript or some non spiderable link, then the PR distribution is higher to those 10 links than if the PR was split between 15 links.

As to the poster's original question, I am fairly certain that the nofollow tag does not prevent PR flowing through the links on that page.
