Whats Your Pagerank?

I am curious how does your site pagerank?

Currently my site is A PAGERANK 5 but I would like to get it to a 7-8 if possible but the focus of the site is very much in a niche. What is your pagerank and what did you have to do to get it higher? I try hard to follow the rules but how much effort should be placed in acquiring pagerank for a site that is a niche and may never have wide relavence?

Our main site is very much niche. It attained PR 6 for a short while, but is now back to a 5. This seems to be high enough to guarantee frequent crawling.

I do not focus a lot on PR. I do try to get links from relevant sites, though that effort is more to increase traffic than to increase PR.

SERPS, I am not sure where I rank. How would you recommend I find out?

I know that if you put in some pretty obscure topics within my niche, I usually am in the top 5 90% of the time.

More importantly, what's your position in the SERPS?

You got that right ... I have one site that bounces between PR3 and PR4 and another that's held steady at PR8 for over a year now. The PR4 site is in the top 3 for every keyword I ever wanted it to be. The PR8 site can hardly ever be found on the relevant keywords.

I wonder how many "PR Dummies" (Translation: those obsessed with PageRank) will think that pr10.com site is for real :)

I have only one site. Recently it went back from PR5 to PR4.

However, most of my pages still rank high in SEs for the most important search terms.

Adding more content and getting more quality incoming links is the way to go, I think.

There are 2 types of PR changes. When mostly everyone loses or gains PR because G moved the dial slightly. Another type of PR change impacts only you - when you lose a few important links or those linking to you lose their own PR.

We have discussed this several times, PR is not the most important factor for ranking but a very important factor nevertheless.

If you get a PR above what your site should you are probably spamming and might get banned. Get anchor text and don't worry about PR. I don't have anyting higher than PR6 and I make 6 figures from organic related income. Only really busy known sites should have PR7 or above.

PR5 here. Would love to have it up to 6 and I know I am close (even some pages 1 level deep are PR5).

Actually this is enough. I get a nice crawl everyday and most pages are in google 48 hours after they are added.

Ranking is what counts more for us and we are listed not that bad (can be better of course).

The problem with our niche is that adwords is costs a couple USD per click :(

This is a very interesting topic. I have been getting alot of requests from people wanting to buy ads on my web pages. Their offers seem to be low but I may be off base thus my interest in the topic in this forum thread. My web pages are currently 4,5 and 6 in page rank.
I was wondering what Page rank of 6,7,8 and 9 web pages are worth to people wanting to put ads on them.
I make my webpages # 1 in G for there specific word phrase and would only consider selling ads if the website wanting the ad was on my webpage theme.
Personally I like my pages at current page rank of 4,5 and 6 as they give me more options to build new webpages but if I was to put a few together to make a higher page ranking webpage is it worthwhile advertising wise. Thus that is why I ask what the advertising $ value of pagerank pages 6,7,8 and 9`s.
Any ideas and information and opinions will be greatly appreciated
