Basically a few weeks back our site was listed as normal on Google.
Then I noticed our site wouldn't appear on searches that are based tightly around our domain name (usually giving a #1 result)
Further a few days later, looking at the logs I notice traffic coming from Google.ie and that we're were number one on the search phrase (and further tests showed #1 on other key phrases).
My guess was that somehow the site's IP may of shifted to show the site was hosted in Ireland (although it hasn't).
I then noticed that within Google searching, sometimes Google was pulling in search results from a 3rd party (supplementary results). It was listing my site twice but under two domains.
This then hit me that when I first setup the business it was hosted under domain A, then through change of product I then added domain B to be mapped to the hosting option.
I then worked under domain B, and have only ever submitted for spidering domain B.
It seemed that the supplier of the supplementary results has spidered both domains. I then believe Google has seen this as a bad SEO technique and barred our site.
Does the above make sense and could my site of been banned through 2 domains serving the same site?
This is my guess but I'm still confused why Google.ie is providing good results.
If can can work out what the error is then maybe I can work hard to try and fix it :)
