Google indexing vCards?

I repeatedly asked Google to start support vCards, since they provide valueble information concerning persons, organisations and there contact and address-information. I never received a response from them, but it seems they are slowly adding support.

Last month I found that there where indexing some vCards and today I saw that even though Google returns "file format unrecognized", they are displayed quite properly when viewing them as html.

Any else noticed this or has some more information?
