Web counter on front page

Outgoing link wastage?

On my site I have a counter to track my visitors, that links to something like:

[company.com...]

Am I correct in saying this is an outbound link and that I should use something else?

I use webalizer as well so should I remove the frontpage counter?

If there is no reason for this link, get rid of it. If you are linking to other sites it is better for them to be on-topic for your pages.

if it is a commercial page, you should get rid of it because they are generally considered to be unprofessional.

Is that URL within an <img> tag, ir is it within an <a href=""> tag. It is not a link if that is just where you go to get the image.

I would remove it anyway Mr Clarke, as it look very amateurish. Get your stats from your logs using faststats or something similar.
