Keyword Density

What density for different tags?

I ran a KD check on my site and it split it up into different sections ... I'm just wondering what the KD should be for the following, if I am only targeting ONE keyword for Google:

Title tag
Links
Alt Tags
Keywords & Desc Meta Tags
Bold text
H Tags

Also, what other advice would you give for people only wanting to target 1 single keyword

here are my 2cents:
title="kw"

links=internal and external with your KW in the anchor text (if it's only your KW, better)

al tags=don't work too much lately but around three repetitios in three images (1 per image) would be fine

Keyword and Description=don't work too much but once in the KWs and once per sentence in the description would be OK

bold text=make sure you add bold in a couple of the KW repetetions in the body

H tags = h1 to h4 or h5 covering just your KW.

That's what I do and it works quite fine for me.
hope it helps

OK thanks for that ...

Regarding H1, H2 etc ..

I've used a CSS to make these the size I want them. Do you think there is any harm say using H3 as the first word in a sentence? My CSS would make the H3 appear the same as the rest of the paragraph.

For example:

<H3>Widgets </H3> is a strange word.

I'm getting in my H3 tag and it also won't stand out like a sore thumb.

I'd suggest you use h3 tages the way they are meant to be used, as a way of structuring your page for the benefit of the people who use your site.

H tags used to be used to structure documents in the first days of html. Now we have much more powerful tools to structure documents and create layouts but our loved SEs still use them as a caracteristic feature of our pages. So if you want to get good rankings for your page is better to use them and modify them with CSS.
What do you mean with?
"I'm getting in my H3 tag and it also won't stand out like a sore thumb"
