Repetitive or similar files names

Hi,

Well I wanna make sure that Google wont penalize me If I did the following.

I have a huge data based of text files and they are named and linked like that:

blue widgets file number - 1
blue widgets file number - 2
blue widgets file number - 3
... over 1000 links like that

Is there anything wrong with that?

I guess Google is smart enough to know that, but I am not sure, maybe a professional can help us here...

Also I guess it will be better to give each file
it's own name at least for a better ranking

Why do you not have a directory called "blue widgets"?
Why repeat this term for a thousand files?
Can your data base program not cope with this?

185,000 similar yahoo motel pages now in Google...but that's ok...

I already have the directory called Blue widgets
I just have to link to each text file tho so users can access them and all files are about Blue widgets
so this is how the link text will be "Blue Widgets Text File No-1 etc..."

Partially repeating the same anchor text 1000 times on a single page might trip a filter or two.

With respect, sounds daft to me from a visual design perpective and given that it could well trip a spam filter (if not now then in the future) it sounds daft from an SEO perspective too. That said, I would not be surprised if you got to #1 for blue widgets but I expect a manual inspection would kill you dead if a competitor kicked up a fuss.
