They also had a question relating to a googol in the british version of who wants to be a millionaire...might even have been the last question. Sometimes it pays to be a geek ;)

Yes it was the last question when Major C. Ingram tried to be too clever on the day.

ooh,

in germany it was the € 64.000 question.
Big difference to 1 Mil.?!

But googol is right. Shame on me, I wasn't sure. ;-)
The question was exactly:
Which search engine got it's name from the number 10 to the power of 100?
a)Alta Vista
b)Yahoo
c)Fireball
d)Google

The Brit question was slightly different - I *think* it was what value was a Googol.

The UK Question was:-

A number one followed by 100 zeros is known by what name?

A googol, a megatron, a gigabit or a nanomol.

benihana is on the ball today ;)

I was pretty sure it was really from D. Adams Hitchhikers Guide:

"[The] Googleplex Star Thinker in the Seventh Galaxy of Light and Ingenuity..."

Yes it was definetly the hitchhikers guide to the galaxy, which is a awesome book thats followed by three others by Douglas Adams.

I thought it was "Go Ogle" as in go and stare at the SERPs ;o)

What about a new search engine called Giggle, like Google but more fun?
