Google tracking all SERPs

I noticed this yesterday. And its not going away.

Every SERP I see has google tracking in the form of //www.google.com/url?sa=U&start=1&q=http://www.webmasterworld.com/&e=7627 thought this is a random sampling kinda thing, and it would go away, but it is not going anywhere!

Is anyone else seeing this? I tried from other PCs in my office, but no other machine seems to have this. Even the ones with Google toolbar installed.

When I search using a local Google, however, this stops and I get normal SERP URLs.

I have seen GG mention that they do this once in a while, but 2 days in a row in one machine in one pretty big office?

Try clearing your cache. You may have a google "click-tracking" cookie - or whatever you call it.

Actually, Beter2, I am more interested in whether this is common. Does Google routinely track URLs? How often? Using what criteria and on whos machines?

Do they do it for 2-3 days at a time (today's day 3 for me)

Is anyone else seeing this right now?

Oh, sorry, thought you were trying to make it go away.
