My website pages on Google

What's the correct way to find how many of a domain are listed?

When I wanted to know which and how many pages from my sites were listed on google, I used to search for allinurl:domain.com or allinurl:www.mydomain.com

I still didn't figure out when to use www or not.

But anyway, this method doesn't seem to work always.
When I do allinurl for one of my site it says like encountered 1,900 pages, but only lists 300.
Where are the other ones?

But when I search for let's say a generic search inside my domain, for instance: a site:mydomain.com I already see like 400 pages. So how could I get only 300 before.

Anyway, it seems like every single page of my site is found when I search for them individually.

But what is the most precise way to get the number of pages I have listed on google?

If anybody is interested I will send the actual URL by private message.

Thanks a lot.

Are the missing pages in Google targeted by hyperlinks on the web pages that Google DOES find?

I believe the proper way to find all pages in a website is to use "site:www.youdomain.com" (without quotes)

There are discrepencies between domain.com and www.domain.com though. Not sure why, would have thought Google would treat them as the same site.

Google has always treated ****.domain.com differently to domain.com as it is possible to have differnt sites on different subdomains

Brucec, the pages that are missing are pages with other products. THey are not directly linked by links, but they are indirectly. Cause there are links to other departments in every page.

But my main question has not been answered. Why does it show one the first page like 1-10 results from a total of 39,000 , but if I keep clicking to see next page it will end at a certain number like 1000 results?

Also, for one of my sites it shows that total results are 1,900, than I keep clicking to see next page and it goes only until 300 results...

BUT BUT BUT , my site has like 1500 pages in it, and when I search each individual page, they are all there. So I think there are more than 300 pages on google. How to know for sure?

It's ok to have a limit. But it doesn't make sense when this limit changes.

Let me prove my point with the actual case.

With this search
[google.com ]

You will see that says there are about 1900 results, if you keep going to next page it will stop around 170 results

With this search
[google.com ]

It say total of 2070 results, and if you keep going to next page will stop around 340.

So, how does it work?

DO I have 170, 340, 1900 or 2000 pages on google?

Thanks
