Hi,

I just wondered if the meta language tag is supported by Google.
Will a site with <meta name="language" content="EN"> appear on for example google.es?

This is not an authoritative answer, but Google does try to determine a document's language when reading a page, and will surely read the meta tag if present and take it into account, along with other factors. If the document is in a different language to the user's Google preferences, Google may add a "Translate this page" option in the SERPS.

However, I don't believe the standard SERPS exclude non-Spanish pages for Spanish users, unless the user searches specifically for documents only in that language. English-language pages may be placed lower in the SERPS than Spanish-language pages on google.es (compared to google.com), however.
