Just looking for a little advice since all these changes in google have come around. Thought I would never have to do SEO again, so in the last year(since becoming a C# and developing business systems) I have been frequenting the .NET/ASP, Google IPO, Community and Foo sections.

So now I have been asked by a close friend to optimise his site as it used to be first but now sits at 67. I still have Bretts very old paper on what to look out for and have trawled through old threads today but with all respect to Brett and all of you, G has now changed it's "Dance" policy and I was wondering if these old ways are still relevant.

So please add to this thread if you know of any things I shoyuld look out for that maybe would not have mattered last year.

Thanks all and happy surfing
Skye:)

Look in the supporters forum, there is a great post that covers almost everything you can imagine.

It's called "SEO Class Instruction Syllabus".
(if you have to subscribe to get there, let Brett know I told you and that he owes me a pint ;) )

Thanks, but I don't think I will ask brett for anything as he must be quite a busy man. I am slowly getting back in the vibe. Played with dreamweaver till the early hours of the morning. It's amazing how quick it all comes back.
Now to focus on the Google tonight;-)
Wish me luck
