#2 is the old address. The text snippet is dominated by the meta description. The heading and some main text is also there.
#7 is the new address. With a fresh 27th tag. The text snippet is taken from the heading and the main text.
I moved the website on the 20th and created a 301 on the old address. The title, the meta description, the heading and the main text are exactly the same now as before.
Anybody seen something like this before?
If the old site no longer exists, it will eventually drop out of the Index. If it has a fair number of backlinks then it will remain in the SERPs but only with a link, no title or description.
Beaker
Beaker, I agree that the "balance" of incoming links may be the main reason for the situation. In my judgement links to the new address only began to weigh more than links to the old address yesterday. With another website the change was very fast. In that case I controlled all the links myself and changed them at once.
Of course it is fine to have an extra result on page 1. But right now there is only one. The new fresh result has dropped out as fresh results tend to do.
