Why doesn't my homepage get a new cache date?

New cache every day for pages on site but nothing for homepage.

Can anyone kindly tell me why my homepage has stopped getting a new cache date (over 2 weeks) however the other pages on the site get a new cache date nearly everyday. If the google bots look at my site nearly everyday why do they ignore my homepage.

Please can you give me some ideas.... Thanks

Have you checked your logs if GB is visiting your homepage? Why do you want to have the timestamp?
