What if almost all your outbound links are like this?

I have seen link sections on sites which I presume is used to monitor who leaves the site and so the webmaster could add links quick and easy.
If you did this and used a header("location: ****"); inside the out.php page would googlebot follow the links as valid links or would the link be "valid" or could the site be identified as an island site.
