the page is in google (if I paste the exact url appears)
If I copy the title of my crawled url and paste it into search my document appears in #31!
Why?
The title is 7 words (2 stop words)
Why my site is #31 in that so especific query?
I would agree that it is some kind of penalty or de-merit. But it may be due to some other optimization feature on your page. Something else that you are doing on your page may be dropping your total score down even though you have the exact phrase on your page.
I thought Florida may have added up our optimization features and started to penalize for using more than 5 or 6 things. They knew some legit sites would get hit, but they wanted to shake everybody up. It worked.
I still haven't figured out what triggers it with my sites. I've experimented with less AND more content, kw density, titles, descriptions, alt tags, H tags, anchor text, outbound links, affiliate links, authority sites, etc. I can't get my sites to budge one way or the other. I used to rank high and receive a nice little income. Now, I'm looking for another line of work! Google hasn't improved its SERPS. I see less relevency now. They just shuffled the deck. I've been forced to spend more on AdWords so I tend to agree with that conspiracy theory. I'm living proof! Increase AdWords revenue for IPO by shaking many top-ranking sites out of their fat-cat positions and six-figure incomes, so that they will be forced to turn to AdWords to support the style of living they have grown accustomed to.
'We are sorry, your site is very poor, and you do not qualify for our search results, but you sure qualify for our adwords! Will that be Visa, Mastercard or American Express?'
The article was very upbeat and punchy, showing Page and Brin in Fancy dress at the web awards, etc. The reporter prattled on about "boys next door", still staying in modest accommodation, etc, etc. These guys never seem to attract bad publicity even when it is deserved. I believe that this is because the media guys don't know **** from shoe polish when it comes to reporting this kind of stuff. They still think that Google produces the best and fairest results.
I know you are generalising ILuvsearch engines but my site is not "very poor". It is a non-commercial, authority site that used to be near the top for all my KWs. I have links that Google recognises from all the other authority sites in my field but still no ranking or traffic.
This morning it hit a new low. I do a search for mytechnicalKW myLocation and I get an adult portal from Poland in position six. Here's a sample from this page of the good content that Google champions!
