Misspelling, alt text and back links

Perhaps everyone else already knew this, but I sure didn't.

By accident I mispelled a word in the search term and one of my pages came up. Checking the cache for my page it showed "These terms only appear in links pointing to this page: mispelled word".

I tried again using only the misspelled word as the search term and the only SERP returned was one of my pages. Ran a local text search on my entire site for the misspelling and the only places the misspelling occurred was on two different pages and only in the alt text for linked images.

The correct spelling returns 54,100 SERPs.
