Why is my site pr0?

Is there a penalty for broken links?

I have a six page website. I use it when I advertise in the newspaper so potential customers can see photos in advance of seeing the real thing. When I don't need to advertise a particular item, I leave the currently unused pages and photos uploaded with the rest of the site. There are probably 25 unlinked pages. When I need to use them again I link the pages I need, to the rest of the site again. Is this a problem?

The problem is you have a web site with essentially nothing on it that only gets content for brief periods of time. Why don't you try keeping everything you put up under past sales or something.

If your home page is always available then the missing internal pages are probably not the cause of the PR0.

The home page has links to "contacts us", two different kinds of rentals we have and an application for customer to fill out (not a form, can only be printed). These link back to the home page. The home page has an overview of what is currently available. When something is not available, I delete the broken link but leave the pages on the server.

Reason I don't want to show what is currently not available is because some of the rentals are much nicer than others and if I'm pushing something "not very nice", I'd rather they not see the nice stuff. Also, if my friends see the site, I'd rather the customer not see my entire "portfolio".
