Sorry to ask so many questions. I was wondering if it mattered if your links were ../index.html or if they needed to be www.yourdomain.com. Does it matter?

I use Dreadweaver, sorry - I mean Dreamweaver, but maybe that was a Freudian slip.

In Dreamweaver, making a link always appends the "index.html" to the link because you have to point to a file, not a directory, when you make the link.

That having been said, if I use Google's link: command to see who links to a particular page in my site, Google will often credit some of my own pages. In such cases the index.html will be missing from both the target and source of the link (ie from the page I'm linking to, and from the page that links to it).
