Does anyone have any thoughts about the importance of the keyword density in the anchor text on a page. I did some research on sites that rank well and a bunch of them have a little under 9% anchor text KWD for their targeted keyphrase. The links on these sites were mostly internal. I wonder if having an anchor text KWD that is too high can hurt you?
