OptiLink - Has anyone been banned?

Has anyone used OptiLink and actually been banned for it - meaning, you can actually trace a delisting and/or IP block back to your specific use of OptiLink?

I know what Google's TOS says.

Yes, I know that. But a friend is afraid that he's banned himself, and I want to see if he's mistaken.

I haven't heard any first-hand reports of banning due to use of this tool.
