Started a link campaign a couple of months ago. I've noticed that my front page PR dropped and now I'm doing an audit of the links. I’ve found the follow facts to be pretty interesting and would love to get the forum’s opinions on them.

1) While doing a backlink check for my homepage, I've noticed that most of the backlinks are from internal links. Therefore… could adding more pages increase backlink count and drive up PR? Would getting rid of outbound links in turn drive up internal page PR?

2) While almost all of the links are all from PR 4 pages, I've got a couple of PR 0 pages counted. They are from some small directories. Anyone have any insight into Google’s filters. I know that I’ve traded at least a thousand links, but I’m only able to find a handful of those pages in my backlinks.

1. yes
2. the pr 0 may be due to the fact that they are new, google usually dissplay backlinks with PR > 3

The PR 0 pages have been there even before my link campaign and the rest of the links are all PR 4 or higher. Not complaining, but would like to how these filters work. spend my times wiser at finding more qualified partners for links.
