I can't believe that they put that information up already! I was pretty sure that proprietary project wasn't due to be mentioned until late 2006 at the earliest. I only hope that other search engines don't uncover the secret of the Patel extrapolation..
I'm not sure those images are showing, unless my "unlimited solar energy is restrictive to my IP zoning ordinance"
What happens to PageRank in the proximity of a black hole? Is there distortion that might result in link relevancy reduction or popularity warping? Could this somehow be harnessed to generate more dates for engineers?
There's a long tradition of jokes inside Google. Today for exampe, the milk in the fridge was green. At least, I hope it was milk. And don't even get me started on what we did to the VP of Engineering's office a few years back. I don't know if he ever got all the sand out of that office. Come to think of it, it was April Fool's Day when someone replaced Eric Schmidt's photo in our intranet directory. Hmm. I think maybe I should stop talking now.

But have you achieved the levels of play that they reached at mosaic (pre-netscape netscape) or even better, SGI? One of my favorites was the attempt to launch an alhambra water bottle into orbit.
And why aren't you guys documenting these exploits on the web? How do you expect to get Google's PageRank up if you don't have anything really worthwhile to link to? ;)

So back in a non-Foolish world, Gmail is a real product with 1,000 megabytes of storage. I'm sure more details on it will trickle out over time. By the way, here's a quick way to test freshness: when there's a news event, see which search engines pick it up on the web and how fast. I like the freshness of Google for the query gmail compared to other search engines, and we (of course) didn't do anything special for this query.
