ESPN NFL has a PageRank of 2?

For last week ESPN NFL has had PR2

Anyone else notice the PR on ESPN NFL section? Perhaps other sections in addition I didn't check.

It's basically ESPN.com and the directory is /NFL/.

How can this be? I know there's day to day fluctuations but for me it's been this way for more than a week. Anyone else see it?

I wouldn't put it past Google to be:

a) feeding you false data
b) devaluing PageRank completely

All of the content pages within the NFL section have PR5 - PR7.

Must be a fluke.

It says PR of 1 for me. Pretty impressive for a site with 11,300 backlinks to only be a PR 1 ;) I think it's normally a PR 7 for what that's worth.

Is it not just down to the redirects and which URL you end up on?
