Google isn't listing me

Okay, so the googlebot has crawled my site. I have submitted my site to a few directories relevent to its content as well. I have been keeping an eye on Google and, for whatever reason, the sites that have linked to me show up when I type my site name with my site in the description area. My own site, however, hasn't shown up in the search results. What's up? Why did their update show up but I haven't even been added yet?

I wouldn't worry about ... you should shown up soon if you are not already in the database.

Did you try typing in your url into google?

Yup, I've had exactly the same problem. The bot first visited on 25th Jan and almost 2 months later I'm still not listed. I keep on searching google for my site but its just not there (however one week ago it appeared to be in for a few hours)

As the site is getting spidered a lot I thought it'd be in by now, does anybody have any idea how long I should expect to wait? I have one pr4 link to my site and am awaiting a dmoz listing.

Is google reluctant to list new sites?
