Link for supplemental results not showing

This is pretty meaningless to me, but may be of interest to those of you more skilled in the black arts of Google.

I just did two allinurl: searches for my old and new domains, to see how Google was coping with the recent move. On the old site it gave me results 1-2 of about 55, plus the 'repeat the search with omitted results included' link, which then gives you 53 to look at (never did figure out why Google can't count).

On the new domain, it gives me 1-2 of about 13,400, but this time there's no 'repeat' link. I remember it being there only a few days ago, because I remember noticing it jumped from 13,400 to 20,000 or something when you added in the supplemental results.

Not sure if this is of interest to anyone.

It might have to do with the number of results. If you get to the end of the list, then I think we display that message. If you go through the top 1000 or whatever and haven't reached the end, then you might not see that message.

Regardless, you can always add "&filter=0" to the end of a search url to switch into the mode where the repeats can be shown.

The numbers are above. There were only 2 results displayed in each case, with 50-odd extra available in the first one, and 13,000-odd extra hinted at, but not available in the second.

I had a result where (with an extra &num=100 parameter to get 100 results per page) you got 1 to 14 of 46, but after adding the &filter=0 command then you got 1 to 34 of 46 instead (Well actually I simplified this a bit: you actually got 1 to 10 of 46 on the first page, then 11 to 20 of 46 on the second page, then 21 to 30 of 34 on the third page, and finally, 31 to 34 of 34 on the last page).

A few weeks ago, you did see all 46 results for that search, but those extra 12 sites were all p0rn pop-up, javascript redirector, sites. Google has now filtered them so that you can't list them however you try to do it.

<update> The result now shows 1 to 34 of 34 so Google doesn't even hint at the removed sites any more.</update>

I think I witnessed an evolution of how Google gradually filters their data from week to week.
