API results different than web SERPs?

I'm #7 on all the DCs, #10 from the API

I'm curious if anyone uses the Google API, and has noticed any difference in the results from the regular SERPs.

Checking all the DCs, I'm #7 for a particular 2-word keyword, but when checking through the API I'm #10.

I have noticed this since Brandy. I have on two word phrase that has me listed as #13 via the API but in all the DC's I am #3.

Unfortunately, this makes the rank checking applications on various websites not very useful :(

LOL but I am not complaining! I will deal with manually checking my rankings if I am getting good listings. :)
