Google News Sources

What criteria they use for the sources

I recently sent a suggestion email to google news to include our news source that brings the news about skincare, health and health products.

Well they replied me that they will review the source and get back to me, now i haven't got reply even after 20 days, i emailed them a week back, but still no reply.

If they rejected my source, what could be the reason?

We are collecting news from several big sources like reuters, healthday and many other 20 resources. Do google reviewers think that we are copying the news and thats why they didn't approve me?

Well there is a team of 3 persons working on news, and i think we need it to be approved?

And one more thing i can say is that news is not someones' property, it can be given by everyone

Well do you think that reuters health can patent the every news that comes about healthcare to be theirs?

any comments?

regards,

dhaliwal

Do you write the news yourself? If you just use other sources Google would use them directly, don't you think?

I can't speak directly for Google but I can for All Headline News and our policies may shed some light on your requests.

Unless you are the ORIGINATING source of the news content then your requests will be ignored as only the news source will be spidered directly.

If you haven't licensed the content from Reuters than you have no business copying it to your website directly. The news stories are their property and they have a right to be attributed the article and to receive compensation for the use of the article.

Your argument that the news isn't property is utterly false. The news stories themselves are the sole and exlusive property of the author and/or news source

Based on whay you said you would never be added to our news index either unless the content is your own original work and meets our other posted editorial guidelines.

If you don't have original content, you don't have a prayer. It's ok to link to stories (the site I have that's in Google News / Moreover does), but you have to write your own words in those stories.

well, as you all said, we are using only 30 percent of stories from these sources while the others have been from our own team.
we have more than 10 experts working on our website on healthcare and skincare.
While the updation of the site is done by 3 persons all time during day.
I don't know why google hasn't included us, and what else is there that they haven't replied me even.
