3 domains - 1 IP address - can google tell the difference?

All,
I have 3 domain names running of 1 IP. I am finding that google is not indexing as many of the pages as it can - each page has less than 100 links, pages with links over 140 have the INDEX,NOFOLLOW command and I believe that all the SEO is all legit (does not come across as spamming). Does google limit the amount of pages it indexes or visits to one IP address?

Nope. I've got lots of domains on 1 IP address and Google has indexed quite a few pages from all of the sites.

Google may consider some pages very similar and therefore not consider them in the SERPs, but not because they are on the same Virtual Host or IP.

There has been some talk that google might not pass PR the same way if multiple sites on the same IP link to each other. (Also the same owner/address/phone etc) While all the sites might be crawled, there might be a penalty devaluating the cross link.

I do not remember any official answer from google or GG on this however, just speculation.

I can't imagine how Google could create a logical PageRank penalty for websites sharing an IP address. The average webhosting company server will have 300-500 websites sharing a single IP (some have many times that). I've seen examples where thousands of websites share one IP. There's really no quantitative way of distinguishing which of those is someone trying to manipulate PageRank, and which of those are just because like people with like websites use the same hosting company. To do a good analysis of this, they'd have to do it qualititive and that would be labor-intensive. If they're comparing whois information, they wouldn't really need to rely upon IP address analysis.

Isn't this telling the Google bot not to follow your links and thus index your pages? Maybe this can account for it. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

I am no expert but I had 3 domains pointing to one IP.
Google spidered the main site in which the hosting space was originally registered but after a year it would list the other 2 sites only the homepages, spidered the rest but would not include in the index. I tried everything for a year, nothing worked.

Eventually rehosted the other 2 domains seperately within 2 weeks they were all over Google!

The hosting I use provides a seperate IP for each website. This also allows the sites to support HTTP/1.0. My site has pretty good rankings in Google, so I assume the dedicated IP has something to do with it.

Like the other new guy said, what are you thinking with the "NOFOLLOW".

Googlebot gets to your pages by FOLLOWINGing links! Unless you have links already pointing to all those pages from somewhere else--it won't see those.
