Did Google update its directory over the weekend?

I've got a few sites that I've been watching in Google as far as their DMOZ directory listings go. A few months ago, those sites were moved from one cat to another. I just noticed this morning that the category links are now the updated ones. This took about 3-4 months to be updated and must have happened over this past weekend.

Anyone else seeing updates in the Google Directory?

I have a site that was added to dmoz in late January and the dmoz category listing and description are showing up in google results; they started showing up in the last couple of days. I see no change in the google directory.

I have a site that has had the Category link in the SERPs since last year, but a couple of weeks ago the link suddenly went from the results.

No change in the site content, ODP listing, or Google Directory listing.

A site I have which was appearing in the google directory suddenly has the toolbar category button enabled, and the category is showing up under it in the SERPs, so... :)

I'm not seeing any changes in the google directory, either. I've noticed in the past that changes to the category listings (below URL in serps) seem to happen at a different time than the google directory update.

Right now, I see sites that are listed in the google dir that don't have a category listing below the URL in the SERPs.

I see the description in SERPs and the directory icon in the toolbar, but the sites don't seem to be in the Google category. I am guessing that they are probably in the process of bringing in an updated directory.

Google changed/moved the name of my directory section many months ago, but it never worked if you clicked on the link in SERPs. There was no such place. You had to go futzing about to find where it was. Now suddenly, it works!

Checked a few client categories. Can't see much evidence of an update here.

Amazingly, Google is very slowly updating toolbar category icons and links below the search results, but the html directory pages are unchanged. Strange... but at least some movement on the Directory is good news.

Just checked again:

One site - listed at dmoz since september / google dir since november 2003 - now shows the category link for the first time.
Path: World/Deutsch/...

Another site - listed at dmoz since july / google dir since september 2003 (?) - still doesn't show the category link.
Path: World/Computer/...

So there's definitely a directory update in progress.

Hmmm... I haven't watched this too closely but I recall (and I may be mistaken) that Google updates the directory in portions, and that some cats may not get updated for longer periods of time.

Anybody have a definitive answer?

I mentioned this about two days ago, but for one reason or another the Mods never posted my message.

I've posted new things I've found twice and they were both correct - I wonder why the mods don't approve or let my "discussion" into the forum.

Both times this happened I noticed a day or two later that the thread I TRIED to start ended up being starting by a Mod.

Do you mind telling me what's up with that?

No update in my category. Still in the same position I was a year ago, despite fact that my PR has upgraded much since then.

Same here div01. The site which got into dmoz 2 months back is showing the description and category in SERPs but not in directory category page.

Put it simple. I see some category changes here.

Hmm.. I tried to start a thread about this on the weekend...

We had three new sites start showing up with directory info on their listings and on the toolbar - they'd been in the Google directory for awhile.

Another site I know had lost it's directory listing sometime after Austin and has yet to get it back.
