I wonder because my site is up and running now for almost two months and Google still hasn't indexed it. Any other suggestions to get indexed? I have links from other sites. And these links give me some traffic; up to 20 hits per referrer per day.
I had a spider from Google on my site a few times, but nothing happened after that. Which spider do I need to look for? I have seen crawler4 and crawler9 and googlebot.
A change to a charity site that I set up from a fully-featured ISP backwards to a holding page pointing to a free ISP (for the moment) has resulted in a NoFrames fowarding page that is about as unfriendly to a search engine as it's possible to get - no key words, no content, just a link (with the URL as anchor text).
And the ranking of that page has hardly changed, nor the frequency of update.
Proof, I hope, that all the links to the site are what makes Google take an interest.

Title is very important, of course, but alt attributes aren't going to help a whole lot. Description won't make any real difference with Google.
If you want the page to do well, you're probably going to have to abandon your current format and get some text on the thing. It's either that, or try to get a lot of excellent, very high PR, incoming links, using your keywords as the anchor text, i.e. The magic words. That would do it in lieu of text, but it might be hard getting them.
