Hi everyone..

ok I have tried pretty much everything to get into google properly.... I run a linux help forum and when i search on google for "< key phrase >" as one word exactly like that i come up in first place. ohter than that I don't come up anywhere. I have tried meta tags... which i hear they dont use anymore... You name it ive tried it ... except paying for services.

if anyone could offer me some advice and help I would greatly appreciate it.. also I run the site on phpbb

thanks

Do you have decent incoming links? That's the biggest part of it.

DMOZ, Yahoo directory, links from high PR sites, are what usually help to get a new, unknown site, into a respectable position in the serps, (along with good content).

You probably gave yourself the Google Death Penelty. Get rid of the session ID if there is one. Make the URLs Google frendly. I think there are some Google hacks that make it easior to crawl the boards. I used one when I used phpbb and the boards got crawled.
