googlebot stopped spidering index.html

other pages like contact.html still spidered

If I type in
site:www.widgets.com"+www.widgets.+com" I get a list of what has been spidered and my index.html is not listed. Two other random pages such as my contact.html show they were spidered today. This worries me!

I found out the other day that this idiot was mirroring my index page on his server. I sent him a cease & desist and now his page shows a "not found" error. I should add that my index page is #1 for the my url which is also a keyword, his was #2. Is google giving me a penalty for this as duplicate content? Do I need to write and beg for mercy?

If the other site, that copied your content, is already deleted, I'd suggest you waiting a few more days and the site should be back in.

Has happended to me in the past - as long as you've done nothing wrong with your site - you should be back in soon
