Cache questions

Cache only partially updated

I have found that some of my pages are only partially updated in the cache. The time/date SSIs on each page are updated almost daily but changes to the rest of the page are not. Doesn't make much sense to me and seems a bit deceptive on Google's part. Are others getting this? And is the below info still valid?

The rest of this para is from an old WW thread: "Your cache and listing may get updated if you get a visit from the freshbot before the next update. Google's cache is always 30-60 days behind. The freshbot was introduced to help alleviate this problem. Whether and how often it visits depends on your pages' page rank and on how often it is significantly updated. If freshbot visits and updates your listing/cache, but doesn't come back, your listing may again revert to the old cached copy."
