Google is showing not backlinks for our site. However when you do a search in Google for our site, and click on "contain the term" other websites linking to us are found. I don't understand, we have plenty of sites linking to us. Any ideas?

The sites linking to you have to have at least a PR4 to show up in the backward links. It takes time too before a site with PR4 or more will show up in the backward links.

I have the same problem. My site has been in ODP for two months now. The category where it's listed has a PR6. I can see the link to my site in Google's cache.

I don't think any pagerank is being passed on either. My site, which is fairly new, shows a PR3. That one link from the PR6 site should boost me to at least PR4 I think. (It's a small category with only 11 sites.)

I asked Google support about it, but they just gave me a very general reply: "link:domain.com" only returnes a selection of links to the site.

I would really like to have that link count. I am also desperately waiting for Google to update their directory.

Regards,

Christian

Keep checking the cache. Lots of Dmoz categories are showing old master caches, as far back as last summer even though they regularly get freshed and temporarily show update caches. Also, if you see your link in the cache today, that doesn't mean it was there two weeks ago.
