I had the assumption that if I optimized for "keyword phrases", it would be the same thing as optimizing for "keyword phrase". I suppose that my definition of keyword stemming might be close to what actually happens, but maybe not.
I optomized for "keyword phrases", and now have the #1 serp (YAY!), but I come up somewhere between 10 and 30 for "keyword phrase" depending on how many dogs happen to be barking in the state of iowa at the time of the search. (actually, for the moment, I seem to have disappeared completely)
My competition for both phrasings is ...
bah... can't check it now, because they've all been shaken up. At least my local competition is out too.
