My top 2 keywords no longer list me!

My top 2 main words no longer list me in the search results

My top 2 main words no longer list me in the search results. We use to be ranked in the top 30, then we discontinued our main google sponsourship for the keywords, and now we have dissapeared! Now we do come up on our other keyword in the listings all over the place from top 5 rankings to down by 100 ranking.

Is this a concidence? Now google does spiders our site daily, as well last wekk I was able to gain over 100 inbound links to our site.. And no i did not post it to a FFA site link, they were all proper links.

It appears that Google is adding more and more keywords to the Flordia Filter, I lost another top keyword yesterday. There should be no relationship with Adwords.

Although that other thread may seem related, it really isn't. I believe the author of this thread would agree that some of the keyword phrases they are ranking ok or well for are two word.

I also believe that he is questioning whether it is an association between his phrase and adwords. Google says alot of things, but that may or may not be the real deal.

We have the same problem. We have four main phases that are relevant to our business. These are not highly competitive as indicated below. Since I can't be more specific, I'll just say that these words would be like using gold widgets to describe a site that sells gold widgets were a search of widgets only returns around 8 million.

Key Phrase 1 = 144,000 (Total Listings)
Key Phrase 2 = 266,000 (Total Listings)
Key Phrase 3 = 216,000 (Total Listings)
Key Phrase 4 = 125,000 (Total Listings)

For the above main and extremely relevant phrases, we don't even show up in the first 10,000 listings. I haven't been able to find a way to research beyond that to confirm if we even show up at all.

What is interesting is by going through my logs, any search term that we received traffic from, under that term if we are using it in our adwords campaign, it does not show with a listing. If we are in the regular listing, it is a term we are not using in our adwords campaign.

This actually is so blatent, we have started documenting it per some professional advice.

Oh I should have mentioned another thing. It's interesting that our top five competitors, which rank well, don't use adwords. One of them is keyword stuffing and using doorway pages and feeder sites and they rank 1 or 2 in the regular listing for almost all the terms we either use in adwords or come up naturally on.

Sigh, wish I could debunk this forever. :) Advertising on Google neither helps nor hurts your search ranking. Stopping advertising neither helps not hurts your ranking. Starting advertising neither helps nor hurts your ranking.

Well, I wish I could believe it too, but I can't nor can anyone provide me with any other answers.

optimized html=no improvement
got more quaility relevant links=no improvement
tracked all links for penalized site=found none
reduced meta keyword to just 10=no improvement
tighten title tag=no improvement
rewrote meta description=no improvement
increased relevant content=no improvement
checked density and refined=no improvement
tried keyword stuffing like competitor=no improvement

I can go on an on, but it 6 months, nothing has helped us on our main relevant key phrases, even asking google if we are being penalized.

GG, would google be willing to put that statement on official letterhead, signed by a corporate officer and send it to me? Sorry, I could not resist

you just need a few sites that dont have link campaigns to give you a sponsored listing from their ontopic index page. Thats how its done now. Before free link, now paid links. Im not talking buying pr, im talking buying relavancy and a link. Just a little note at the bottom of the page, OUR SPONSER WIDGETS.COM. That will do the trick. Google likes that now, sorry if youre a little guy with a small budget that got sucked into the content is king stuff. That was the good old days.

GG means that G has not intentionally made it so that running Adwords and/or Adsense will change the rankings and all associated with said ranks. Of course all software has bugs, it's just a question of how many, how gross, and does anyone notice them or not.

Did that and paid dearly for it as they are PR8. Didn't help, but luckily for me the site owner is more interested in helping and what the problem is then being greedy and has left it up even though I can't continue to compensate him for it.

Well I don't think it does either, but the past 4 years for our company we have been in the top 30 for these two keywords. and as soon as our adswords came down our two word sin the normal rankings disapeared.. Like I can't find them at all in the first 1,000 pages. I dunno what happened, but I'm not impressed.

I can't help but think of people who misplace something and then come to the conclusion that someone else must have taken it. Don't worry, you'll find the answer in the last place you look.
